Shoe Dawgs is a collection of people in Ho Chi Minh City and around Vietnam that work in the footwear industry. The group gets together around 2 main concepts of Friendship and Philanthropy. In the past, there have been golf trips, auctions, dinners, happy hours and various other social events in order to try and raise resources and awareness for local charities. In April, I was asked to be the chairman and we are planning to do some great things with an exceptional board. Brands, factories, and suppliers are all represented and continue to make this a great experience and a great place to meet friends and share mutual love for the shoe business.

ABOUT WILLIAM M. SANDMAN
As General Manager of Business Development for Southeast Asia at Ecosis since February 2026, I focus on driving the company’s mission to integrate scalable textile-to-textile circular solutions into the footwear and apparel supply chain. My role involves developing go-to-market strategies for key markets like Vietnam, building partnerships with global industry leaders, and structuring long-term commercial supply models. With expertise in stakeholder management, implementation plans, and communication, I contribute to Ecosis’ vision of transforming textile waste into virgin-grade recycled polyester through advanced chemical depolymerization. By connecting waste take-back programs with production, I aim to foster sustainability and support the circular economy in the region.
