My legal practice encompasses all aspects of employment litigation with a particular emphasis on class and collective wage and hour litigation, independent contractor classification, and unfair competition. An active trial lawyer, I have served as the first chair trial attorney on numerous cases through verdict and regularly litigate in both federal and state court along with private arbitrations across the country. Because not all cases need or even should be tried to verdict, I have also negotiated and obtained final court approval of multi-million dollar settlements involving thousands of wage and hour class and collective members. My dedication to this field has been recognized by Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers as a six-time Rising Star from 20••••25, and I continuously strive to uphold the principles of justice and fairness in the area of employment law.Prior to working in employment law, I have extensive civil litigation experience throughout Southern Texas, Corpus Christi, and Houston. I represented clients in civil contract disputes, construction defect cases, products liability, and personal injury claims. Just six months out of law school, I was the first chair trial attorney for a plaintiff-side personal injury trial that resulted in the ninth highest motor vehicle verdict in Texas for that year. With a J.D. from Baylor University School of Law, I have experience effectively navigating complex labor disputes, emphasizing strategic solutions tailored to each unique case. Fluent in Spanish, I leverage my language skills to broaden client communication and client outreach.
