Provides security for the courts, judges, court staff and public. Detect criminal activity, protect life and property, and preserve the peace. Enforce federal and state laws and local ordinances: Pursue suspects on foot or in a vehicle; Subdue resisting suspects utilizing necessary force including firearms to maintain law and order and ensure personal and others’ safety; Detain, arrest, book, and transport suspects; Collect, preserve, and record evidence; Maintain a log and write arrest reports; Make traffic stops, issue warnings, and write traffic citations. Respond to emergency scenes and calls for service to provide assistance and maintain law and order. Recover lost or stolen property. Investigate emergent and non-emergent complaints of crimes and conducting follow-up investigations: Interview victims, witnesses, suspects, and informants; Take notes, and write complaint and investigative reports; Search for, collect, record, and preserve evidence (including contraband).Reserve Deputy August 2009 to August 2014 - worked alongside patrol deputies, school resource officers, and court security deputies on a volunteer basis
