Drove board and management to focus on building shareholder value through organic and acquired growth during which time McGrath rebuffed unsolicited takeover bid and then successfully closed and integrated three acquisitions, upgraded ERP system, and implemented SOX-compliant controls. Active in succession planning, leading to two new CEOs (both through internal promotion) and new CFO and COO (through external searches), as well as broadening divisional management structure to better achieve long-term objectives. As Compensation chair, implemented improved short and long-term cash, equity, and performance-based compensation to better align management with shareholders. Corporate governance ranked in 99th percentile for quality by ISS.
