As a Contract Specialist supporting mission-critical Department of Energy operations, I manage and administer two highly complex task orders valued at over $100 million, focused on delivering voice and data telecommunications services essential to agency continuity and performance. I serve as the primary point of contact for all contract administration activities, ensuring alignment between technical requirements, contractor performance, and acquisition regulations.I oversee the full lifecycle of each task order—from initiation through closeout—including monitoring service-level agreement compliance, tracking deliverables, and validating contractor performance. I work closely with Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs), technical staff, vendors, and financial teams to ensure timely execution of funding actions, modifications, and administrative amendments, while maintaining audit-ready documentation.A critical component of my role involves ensuring fiscal responsibility and regulatory compliance. I conduct in-depth invoice reviews to validate accuracy, authorize payments, and resolve discrepancies. I also monitor obligation and expenditure rates to ensure alignment with appropriated funds and adherence to the Bona Fide Needs Rule and other fiscal law principles.My responsibilities extend to acquisition planning and strategic procurement support. I draft essential contract documentation including Statements of Work (SOWs), Justifications and Approvals (J & As), and Determinations and Findings (D & Fs) for modifications and task order extensions. I routinely interpret FAR clauses and agency-specific policies to ensure that all contract actions are legally sufficient, risk-averse, and performance-focused.
