About William J. Birch
I worked at the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) for over 30 years. I spent the majority of my career as a project manager in the Division of Project Management. My most recent title was an Executive Regional Manager in the Central Region. My project management experience includes both State and Federally funded projects ranging from simple roadway design to complex bridge replacements and interchanges. I enjoy the challenges, complexities and people interaction that are common to project management and the completion of projects. Over the years, I have developed excellent oral and written communication skills. In late 2018, after a successful and rewarding career at NJDOT, I retired. Soon after, I was fortunate to join HNTB which has been a tremendous opportunity enabling me to continue to help improve the transportation system in New Jersey.
