ABOUT WILLIAM HAND

I am hard working and technically astute with experience working continuously in the maritime industry for over 30 years. I have a UK Chief Officer Unlimited Certificate/Master and Full DP Certification. I am vastly experienced in the role as Chief Officer and have worked worldwide, with multinational crews, on a variety of offshore vessels. I have sailed on product tankers and bulk carriers deep sea, as well as freight ferries in the Irish Sea. My personal resilience, ability and communication skills coupled with the ability to work well under pressure both supervised and as part of a team will enable me to quickly optimise my potential with a progressive employer. Chief Officer/SDPO (20years as C/O) who has worked on the following offshore vessel types; ROV, Dive Support, Pipelay,Seismic, Construction, PSV, W2W, Drilling. Master Mariner Dynamic Positioning Operator Unlimited.All STCW training up to date. HLO HERTL and FOET (EBS, CA-EBS) all up to date. Bi Deltoid Certificate. US B1 OCS VISA. Rigpass. Both ENG 1 medical and OE UK. Experienced on DP 2 and DP 3 vessels with Kongsberg SDP21(SDP11) & KPOS systems. I have been involved in numerous DP trials. I have also sailed as driving mate for a number of years on large PSV\'s in the North Sea. I have prepared vessels for and been involved in dry docks and extensive maintenance periods and I know how to manage the deck department budget. Worked with multi national crews worldwide.
