ABOUT WILLIAM G. GOTIMER

President of the Plaza Marine Group. As a legal and business consultant, I personally serve clients throughout the United States in a number of industries including energy, transportation, and thoroughbred racing on matters ranging from legal guidance, to international business guidance, as well as personal and family matters, including succession. Throughout my career, I’ve seen just about every corporate iteration possible. With a background in business and law, I’ve worked as an officer and director in public and private companies for 30 years. Through these many great experiences, I’ve learned an incredible amount about running business enterprises and the pitfalls to avoid. I’ve found the most valuable advice often comes from someone who has been there before.This statement is particularly true when I reflect on the many years I acted as legal counsel, business executive and personal confidante to my mentor and maritime icon, Malcom P. McLean. From assisting in building the initial business plan for Trailer Bridge, Inc, to rising to Co-Chief Executive Officer, to guiding the organization from private to public, it was the values and relationships built along the way that provided the mist lasting valuable experience.Now, it is my pleasure to convey my experience and assist people in high pressure positions in building their businesses, learning how to maintain a healthy balance and finding other leaders to connect with and learn from.
