ABOUT WILLIAM FOOKS

A qualified and experienced management accountant (CIMA), who is collaborative, innovative and versatile, with strong risk management and organisational skills. Having enjoyed a highly satisfactory military career, he joined Prudential plc in 2013. After successfully transforming operational support (including the use of data analytics) to Group-wide Internal Audit, with audit teams dispersed across Asia, UK and US, he expanded his portfolio to include financial operations. This included several major projects that successfully delivered:(i) a £multi-million offshore shared services arrangement for Group Head Office;(ii) a key component of the Group’s regulatory-driven preparations for de-merger (including engagement with sponsor banks and external auditor); and a high profile tendering process to select the Group’s new auditor. In 2025, he was selected to become the Group CEO\'s deputy chief of staff, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the CEO Office. Among other responsibilities, this includes: facilitating engagement with key stakeholders, both internal and external, and the Group Executive Committee; and coordinating Group-wide leadership forums and initiatives.
