ABOUT WILLIAM FLYNN
As a strategic leader with over 30 years of domestic and international counter-terrorism, military, and public safety experience, I help organizations address and craft international and domestic security programs, leverage intelligence analysis, build public/private partnerships, optimize supply chain resilience, and train for active assailant preparedness. I have a deep background in homeland and national security policy and operations with a focus on critical infrastructure security and resilience. I helped stand up the US Department of Homeland Security, serving 10 years as a member of the Senior Executive Service, building programs that are the foundation for critical infrastructure protection across the United States. Based on this experience, I created GARDA Risk Management, a management consulting firm that specializes in homeland and national security policy and operations. As the President, I focus on advising government and industry leaders on critical infrastructure security and resilience. I also co-founded The Power of Preparedness (“TPOP”), an eLearning platform focusing on workplace violence and active shooter preparedness training for businesses of all kinds. As Chief Strategy Officer, I develop potentially lifesaving strategies and tactics across multiple disciplines and in concert with a premier subject matter expert faculty and technical staff, ultimately providing a powerful, customizable, and effective solution to the increasing threat of active shooters. I am dedicated to making the world a safer place by implementing services and solutions that help protect our environment, our economy, our critical assets, and most importantly our people.
