Lead launch and commissioning of production equipment and tooling for a new (greenfield) EV battery cell manufacturing facility.Ensure equipment is designed, procured, installed, qualified, and handed over to operations on schedule, budget and to quality/safety standards.Key responsibilitiesDrive equipment selection, procurement support, contract technical scope, vendor management and factory acceptance tests (FAT).Lead mechanical/electromechanical integration, installation oversight, on-site acceptance testing (SAT) and commissioning of cell-line systems (mixing, coating, drying, calendaring, winding/stacking, electrode slitting, cell assembly, formation, formation cycling, testing, electrolyte filling, and cell finishing).Develop and manage equipment qualification protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ), test plans, run rates and process capability targets.Design, specify and validate tooling/jigs/fixtures; ensure maintainability and spare-parts strategy.Interface with process engineering, automation/controls, quality, facilities, HSE, supply chain and production teams for seamless handover.Troubleshoot launch issues, lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to meet ramp milestones.Manage change control, risk assessments, project schedules, budgets and technical documentation (as-built drawings, BOMs, SOPs, maintenance plans).Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and industry standards for battery manufacturing.
