Ongoing development and CS-25 certification of the D328eco Fuel System, with key challenges including the new Fuel Quantity Indication System (FQIS), interface with the upgraded Avionics suite, EWIS definition and qualification for operation with 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) with zero aromatics.• Evaluation and preparation of the DO328 legacy fuel system for operation with 100% SAF (FT-SPK) under the scope of DLR UpLift Projet (R&T). Ground and flight tests successfully performed to ensure the Safety of Flight (SoF).• Definition of the Fuel System architecture modification of the DO328 legacy aircraft to allow the development of the Alpha Fuel Cell Demonstrator (R&T). Fuel System Technical consultancy to Sierra Nevada Corporation on the detailed design and airworthiness qualification to ensure the SoF.

William is a Mechanical Engineer with 27 years of global experience in the Aerospace Industry, where he has been developing, certifying and supporting around 13 aircraft Fuel System (civil and defense) at system and equipment level as well as at design and engineering technical aspects, including special and challenging subsystems such as Auxiliary Fuselage Fuel Tanks, Air-to-Air Refueling and 100% SAF qualification. The foundation of his career was built while working at Embraer for almost 20 years, which gave him technical experience and consequently the opportunity to join MITAC (Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation) on the goal to develop the first commercial aircraft built in Japan since the 1960s. Currently William is working at Deutsche Aircraft on the D328eco, DO328 UpLift Project and D328 Alpha Fuel Cell Demonstrator Programs toward a more sustainable aviation.William`s academic background includes MBA in Business Management, Industrial Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Technician as well as an incomplete Master degree in Space System Engineering.
