WORK HISTORY
Editor in Chief @The Week
Hired in 2001 by British publisher Felix Dennis to launch The Week in the U.S. I created the editorial budget, recruited the staff, and directed the adaptation and evolution of this British transplant to the U.S. market. Each week, I heavily shape and closely line edit the news content of the magazine, with attention to tone, style, and clarity. As editor, I also play a role in our legal and brand strategies, as well as providing input into the development of our website. In my tenure, The Week’s circulation has grown from less than to revenues have climbed every year to more than $40 million, and against all odds, we are profitable. We\'ve been named one of Ad Age\'s 10 “A List’’ magazines in the country, and we’ve been repeatedly named to the Chicago Tribune’s list of the nation’s 50 best magazines. I also helped launch our website, TheWeek.com, and continue to play a role in its production and evolution.
