ABOUT WILLIAM F. CARSON
I am a passionate immunologist with extensive experience touching on all aspects of the immune response. I have held leadership positions in both academic and industry research settings. I have mentored undergraduate, graduate and professional degree students, and have mentored junior scientists in industry settings. My research career spans all aspects of immune function, including topics in infectious disease, autoimmune disease, allergy, metabolic syndrome and immuno-oncology, among other topics. My research has encompassed both in vitro and in vivo approaches, including techniques in genetics, epigenetics, molecular biology, cell biology, and the use of knockout/transgenic animals. In addition, I have a long history of service on editorial boards for peer-reviewed scientific journals, and have contributed extensively to the scientific literature through primary research publications, book chapters, and presentations at scientific symposia.
