Responsible for the strategic planning, design, development and implementation of all organizational information systems, software applications, and IT support, network, and infrastructure systems. Oversee development of mission-critical applications and technology to support the University’s long-term goals and provide direction and leadership to a number of internal and external development teams. Direct and mange IT plans, schedules, policies and programs for WU’s data processing, network communications, business operations, computer services and management information systems, according to established goals and objectives. Identify emerging information technologies to be analyzed, assimilated and integrated within the University. Serve as the primary liaison with university offices in the procurement and support for all technological resources. Lead all technological strategic planning initiatives, and provides leadership to the Information Technology staff, Help Desk and Student Technician staff. Work collaboratively and effectively with faculty, staff, and students to identify business problems and opportunities, formulate solutions, and maintain open communications and a positive working relationship between the Information Technology department, students, and all other University departments. Set priorities, monitor progress, critique deliverables, and develop and maintain a professional, productive, and service-oriented work environment. Oversee the management of on-going computer center operations to ensure optimal performance, file integrity, network security, physical security, system reliability, hardware/software availability, licensing compliance, and disaster prevention and recovery.
