ABOUT WILLIAM WESTON
Hi there! William here (I go by Chris). I\'m a multi-disciplinary scientist with expertise in physiology, epidemiology, statistics, and data science. I am specialized at using metabolomics data to interpret how one-carbon metabolism and cellular bioenergetics respond to nutritional and pharmacological treatments. Recently, I discovered a metformin homologue that attenuates physiological aging and cancer risk in vertebrate animals. My other projects include the study of epigenetic age acceleration as a modifier of clinical responses, and I investigate environmental exposure as a determinant of chronic health conditions. As an educator, I like to teach science from multiple perspectives, and I enjoy the opportunity to build community amongst students.
