William “Chip” Rogers serves as Chief Executive Officer of Americans for Fair Treatment (AFFT). This national nonprofit organization educates public-sector employees about their rights and advocates for workers\' freedom to choose whether to join or abstain from union membership while working to reduce union spending in politics. Before joining AFFT, Chip served as President and CEO of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA), the national trade association representing the entire U.S. hotel and lodging industry, as well as AAHOA, the world\'s largest association of hotel owners.During his tenure at AHLA, Chip spearheaded numerous advocacy victories, earning widespread acclaim for his strategic leadership. His accolades include being named one of Business Travel News’ “25 Most Influential,” The Hill’s “Top Lobbyist” for five consecutive years, Job Creators Network’s “Small Business Defender of the Year,” and one of Washingtonian Magazine’s “Most Influential People in Washington.”Under Chip’s guidance, AHLA was designated one of ASAE’s “100 Associations That Will Save the World” and received the White House “Presidential Award for its Pledge to America’s Workers.” The organization also earned the PR Week Purpose Award for its impactful initiatives.Before his roles in association leadership, Chip served in the Georgia General Assembly, where he was elected six times and unanimously selected for two terms as Senate Majority Leader. During his legislative service, he was awarded more than a dozen “Legislator of the Year” awards and held national board positions with the American Legislative Exchange Council and the State Legislative Leaders Foundation.Chip holds an undergraduate degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Georgia State University.
