South Area operations includes the Urea Synthesis production unit, warehousing, and blending/shipping areas. Responsibilities include directing operations personnel in day to day activities and issuing nightly operational guidelines. Responsible for creation of start-up and shutdown plans. Responsible for troubleshooting and coordinating with maintenance and engineering personnel to assist with equipment issues. Responsible for generating MOC’s for routine and emergency modifications to plant operation. Responsible for reviewing operating procedures, updating, approving changes, and the creation of new operating procedures for equipment and/or processes. Serves as back-up to the Lead Maintenance Specialist. Serves as back-up to the Operations Manager.
