Term effective June 11th, 2025 - June 30th 2027. The Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. It is composed of 15 members appointed by the Governor, representing a broad cross-section of the state including one trustee from each of Minnesota’s eight congressional districts, four at-large trustees, and representatives from each institution type.Its duties include setting tuition and fees, negotiating with bargaining units, approving academic programs, awarding diplomas and certificates, establishing system-wide policies, managing budgets and personnel, and determining admissions requirements, rules, and regulations.
