About William Brooks

I am a bit of an oddity in the world of computers as I really enjoy talking to people and trying to help them understand more about what is going on in those little boxes of magic we have sitting on our desk. This is one of the reasons I have enjoyed the teaching I get to do at CPCC as well as other venues. My brain works in a fashion that when I can tell that my target audience is glazing over and not comprehending what I am saying I can change my approach and relate the topic back to something they are more familiar with. I have had students as young as 87 and as old as 15 tell me that they finally understand and can put the process or tool that we have been talking about to practice now.I also love the chances I have had to brainstorm and talk with other professionals to get their insight on a situation so that I can grow. I have discovered that by allowing myself to listen to others that have years of experience or are just getting started that they all bring something of tremendous value to the table.
