Avid hiker/backpacker with Buckeye Trail Association, AT and NCT Conservancy. Active in Mental Health advocacy and fundraiser for AFSP; one step at a time, one day at a time. June 2022: I am especially grateful to the many people encountered this year. It is this gratitude which has sustained and motivates me in daily mindfulness to combat challenges, adversity, suffering, and frustration within our business and local community. I am truly thankful to live in this country, in this era. I remain committed to raising awareness about addictions and mental illness locally. Depression and Suicide is a very serious illness in America and I know that many (if not all) of you know someone touched by this condition. I am calling upon you to join me and my family to stimulate awareness, in the hopes of prevention. We are supporting efforts by the groups like NAMI and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to educate our communities, and we would appreciate any support that you give for this worthwhile cause. We do this in honor of many, but specifically for our son \'Hurricane\' Michael S. McGovern who fell prey to problem gambling and suicide January 17, 2014.
