About William Battle
Since 1987 I have had the pleasure to be involved in all aspects of the electrical industry. Over that time I have been fortunate to meet many people and have interacted with many diverse personalities. I believe my adaptive way of thinking combined with my approach of consistently thinking outside the box gives me an advantage and allows me to raise the comfort level of the clients I speak with. Primarily, my career centered me around the retail, restaurant and hospitality branches of the electrical industry. This gives me an advantage over others by having seen firsthand the quality that is demanded by a 5 star hotel or the needs of chain of restaurants for a contractor that is clean, safe, and efficient. In March of 2002 I received a certificate of appreciation from the White House for a visit from The First Lady at The Plaza Hotel. I pride myself in being able to think outside the box. One such example of this is a project we were building in 2012. The area of concern was a glass atrium in which we needed to hang lights in a straight line so they aligned with the aluminum support channel that was holding the atrium together. Being that the isles with product were angled, it made the client very unhappy. With permission from this client I was able to try something different and alter the architects design to achieve the concept he desired. By using a combination of aluminum support channel, lasers, a chrome shop, a welding company, and a lot of creative thinking, I was able to create the illusion of support channels where there previously were none. Additionally, we added many of them in locations that were not needed, to create the illusion of the atrium being built in this manner. The result was the lighting rows centered in the angled isles, the appearance of them being suspended from the glass, and a very happy client.
Experience
Director, Senior Project Manager, Electrican
Oct 2011 — Present · Park Ridge, NJ, US
Along with the day to day decisions to be made, I also make it a point to be part of every project we take in. The role I play varies a great deal depending on the project we are involved in. As a full service electrical contracting company Belco Electric does everything from retail/restaurant roll-outs to service calls. My role can vary a great deal depending on the area where my input would be most critical in pushing a job to completion. A few examples of the roles I take on are: budgets and value engineering, lighting and power layout/engineering, project management, and site supervision as well as installations. You can always rely on William Battle and Belco Electric to provide superior results every time you call.
