ABOUT WILLIAM BARRACLOUGH

I am currently studying Business Management at Newcastle University. During the summer after my iGCSEs, I gained work experience at Knight Frank\'s City office and Trendsetter\'s Manchester office. Post school, where I achieved A*A*B grades in my A-Levels I embarked on a gap year. I worked as a bartender for the first few months at Between the Bridges on the Southbank. In January I left England for Ghana and volunteered as a football coach for local children. I would lead training sessions during the week and play competitive matches on Saturdays. It was through mutual friends I had made in Ghana that I heard about an orphanage they referred to as the ‘shelter’. I would help with homework and childcare here every day with the charity ‘Dream Africa Care Foundation’. Before leaving I started a fundraiser where over £1,300 was raised which was given directly to both charities in the form of food, sanitary equipment, football boots, and medical supplies. After leaving Ghana I travelled to Kenya where I worked at Ekorian’s Mugie Camp in the Laikipia district for a month helping around the camp with entertaining guests, collecting supplies, building and decorating rooms, taking horses out in the mornings and many more handy jobs. After leaving Africa I took time at home to study the financial markets and conditions before becoming a trader. This was done via free resources such as YouTube, podcasts, lessons and mentorship which I embarked on and more. After 2 years of trading, I have successfully achieved consecutive at least 10% profit quarterly - through holdings, margin and leverage trading. I am now at Newcastle University studying business management. I am interested in gaining further work experience in the shipbroking industry.
