About William Atkinson
I am a manufacturing engineer with a background in precision machining. My interests include continuous improvement, Toyota Production System, design for manufacturing (DFM), mechatronics, plastic injection molding, foundry, and more. My experience and education are a combination of hands-on manufacturing activities and time spent working in a design capacity. Prior to engineering I worked for many years in retail and real estate sales. In addition to studying engineering and precision machining technology I have taken classes in business management including accounting, statistics, business law and economics. I am a believer in lifetime learning and I plan on continuing to learn and grow for the rest of my career. Engineering is certainly more a journey than a destination.
