ABOUT WILLEM CLEVEN

I am a development professional specializing in public sector partnerships in the field of conflict prevention and accountability. Before joining The Sentry, I was responsible for cultivating institutional partnerships and mobilizing resources at the International Center for Transitional Justice, in New York City. Over the course of 4+ years, I helped raise a total of $34 million in revenue, and was part of the team that developed its 20••••22 Strategic Plan.I previously worked as an assessment coordinator for the French humanitarian organization ACTED. Posted in Iraq, I was able to identify gaps and needs to help shape the humanitarian response to the 2014 displacement crisis. In 2015, I relocated to the U.S. to serve as ACTED’s focal point for donor relations in the United States. As part of the ACTED global emergency response team, I was deployed to Ukraine several times to conduct rapid assessments for UNHCR.In addition to English and Dutch, I speak some French, Spanish and German, as well as the universal language of football.
