ABOUT WILLEM BOEZEN

Willem is Chairman and CEO of Rabobank North America. Rabobank is represented in North America in the US, Canada and Mexico. It has three distinct businesses: wholesale clients (focused on Consumer, Food & Agriculture value chains and the Energy transition), rural clients and leasing clients through DLL. With 3,200 employees in North America, Rabobank is a leader in its selected market segments. Willem is also a member of the credit committee of Rabobank Group and a member of the investment committee of Rabobank Investments, after having chaired this business for 7 years. With a EUR 3.5bn investment mandate, Rabobank Investments is one of the premier captive private equity investors.Until June 2024, Willem was responsible for the global wholesale client activities of Rabobank. This included the client activities and a number of product groups including lending, structured finance, debt advisory, sector coverage and M&A/ECM. His responsibilities also covered Rabobank\'s private equity investment business Rabobank Investments (EUR 3.5bn fund) and Rabobank Corporate Ventures (EUR 275mio fund).Willem has a passion for strategic boardroom advisory, driving growth and business transformation, investing and helping professionals to reach their full potential.Prior to his current role, he was Global Head of M&A at Rabobank. With 140 advisory professionals in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia, Rabobank has leading positions across all sectors in the Netherlands and in Consumer, Food & Agri globally. He brings 33 years of corporate and investment banking experience with a strong emphasis on M&A advisory, credit & risk management, capital structuring and debt- and equity capital markets. He has advised clients in more than 30 countries around the world across a wide range of industries.Previously, Willem worked for Royal Bank of Scotland, now Natwest. At RBS Global Banking & Markets. Willem started his banking career with ABN AMRO in 1993 and held various positions in Research, Structured Finance, M&A advisory and Client Coverage in Amsterdam, London and Hong Kong.Prior to that served in the Royal Dutch Army.
