With over 18 years of experience in nuclear propulsion operations, I serve as the Engineering Department Master Chief (EDMC) at the US Navy, where I provide strategic guidance on the administration and supervision of nuclear propulsion plants. My mission is to ensure operational excellence, foster collaboration, and empower teams through effective leadership and training programs. Committed to upholding the Navy\'s standards, I aim to drive innovation, efficiency, and safety within the engineering department. As EDMC, I work closely with the Engineering Officer to oversee personnel management, watch assignments, and qualification programs for nuclear-trained operators. My previous roles, including Reactor Control Assistant and Reactor Operator, have honed my expertise in nuclear reactor operations, personnel training, and preventive maintenance coordination.    The senior enlisted advisor to the respective command advising on proper administration and supervision of a nuclear propulsion plant. The EDMC assists the Engineering Officer in administering enlisted personnel, designating enlisted watch assignments, monitoring the qualification program of all nuclear trained operators, and acts as a liaison for the Engineering Department at the Chief Petty Officer level. Additionally, the NEC identifies those individuals with the skills necessary to perform as EDMC based on a TYCOM directed shipboard qualification process.
