About Will Lathrop

I have two decades of leadership in child protection, crime victim\'s rights, and international development. I have 10 years of executive leadership, managing cross-cultural teams in multiple countries to achieve ambitious targets in dangerous or difficult settings. I have led teams in the US, Ghana, and Uganda to be highly productive and aligned with organizational priorities. I have consistently received exceptional marks on company Employee Engagement Surveys and have earned a reputation for hitting objectives. I have dedicated my career to protecting vulnerable children from violence and exploitation and holding people who hurt children accountable. I am a highly successful culture creator and drive to a build dynamic organizational culture where staff enjoy their work, feel appreciated, but are also highly productive and mission focused. I also strive to empower teams to take initiative and innovate in their fields. Watching staff in my charge grow in their proficiency and advance to greater responsibility is one of my greatest joys in leadership. I started my career working to give job and life skills to \"at risk\" youth in Oregon. I then got my law degree, and became a child sex abuse prosecutor for 9 years. Subsequently, I took on global leadership roles with IJM–the world\'s largest anti-human trafficking organization. Most recently, I returned to Oregon to run for Attorney General because I was very concerned with the atmosphere of crime and exploitation and how it would impact generations of children living on the margins.
