Stinger Platoon Commander | Senior LAAD Tactics Instructor | Battalion Adjutant | Substance Abuse Control OfficerAs a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps, I served as a Low Altitude Air Defense (LAAD) Officer, specializing in the employment, integration, and tactical command of ground-based air defense (GBAD) assets. My primary role was leading and developing a platoon of over 30 Marines, providing mission-critical air defense capabilities using the FIM-92 Stinger missile and counter UAS systems to protect friendly forces from low-flying aerial threats. In this capacity, I planned and executed complex, large-scale operations, overseeing all aspects of mission planning, logistics, training, and sustainment. I ensured operational readiness and tactical proficiency while fostering a culture of discipline, resilience, and team cohesion.Highlights include: • Stinger Platoon Commander: Led a highly specialized team trained in the deployment of mobile, shoulder-fired air defense systems. Conducted live-fire ranges, integration with joint and multinational forces, and rapid-deployment exercises in diverse environments. • Senior LAAD Tactics Instructor: Developed and instructed advanced tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) for LAAD operations, shaping the next generation of air defense leaders and enhancing overall unit combat effectiveness. • Battalion Adjutant: Managed the battalion’s administrative and personnel functions, ensuring operational efficiency and supporting the commander’s decision-making process. • Substance Abuse Control Officer: Oversaw compliance and training programs, promoting the health and welfare of over 500 Marines. • The Basic School (TBS) – Basic Officer Course Graduate: Completed one of the most rigorous leadership training programs in the military, designed to produce adaptable, ethical, and tactically proficient officers.
