ABOUT WILL JONES

I am a Director in the Stakeholder Assurance team, based in Manchester.I joined PwC in September 2015, based predominantly in External Audit but also delivered a number of Internal Audit reviews, with a focus on finance. During this time I built up a solid grounding in accountancy and audit, coupled with becoming a qualified Chartered Accountant under the ICAEW.Soon after joining, I began specialising in delivering engagements over assurance of sustainability related data, as part of the Stakeholder Assurance team at PwC. I am currently a Director in this team where I have a diverse portfolio focussed on delivering confidence over sustainability reporting to a variety of stakeholders (Company Directors, Regulators, Suppliers, Consumers etc.). The majority of my work consists of leading teams on the delivery of engagements where we assure sustainability related information, particularly in the Food, Utilities, Transport, and Manufacturing industry. Whilst the data and information we assure is varied, it includes carbon emissions, water consumption, supply chain sustainability and other non-financial KPIs. My clients are both national and international, requiring me to travel and engage with stakeholders all across the globe.I am an active member of numerous PwC sustainability reporting working groups, with a particular focus on CSRD, as well as supporting clients with reporting under these frameworks. Outside of client delivery, I coordinate the ESG assurance training programme nationally for the UK Stakeholder Assurance team, which covers a broad range of topics across the E, S and G spectrum.
