Senior Regional Operations Executive @Operation Smile

As part of Operation Smile\'s sub-Saharan Africa team I work with our 10 regional country offices to support the planning and execution of their programmatic activities, ensure our work is aligned to Operation Smile’s global strategy, support operational briefs such as renewal of partnership agreements with local hospitals and ministries of health, facilitate regional workshops and conferences, drive local fundraising, provide colleagues and donors with programme reports, and support the Senior Regional Vice President with administrative tasks such as travel arrangements and preparing for meetings and presentations. I travel frequently to sub-Saharan Africa to visit hospital sites and regional offices, to take donors to the field, and to support the execution of short-term surgical programmes, volunteer placements and surgical training rotations. I work with Operation Smile’s global operations department to develop annual budgets and activity plans for each of the countries in our region, to monitor the implementation of these plans throughout the year, and work alongside fundraisers in the US and Europe to develop donor reports and fundraising applications.
