ABOUT WILL CONNOLLY ENGTECH

Civil and Structural Engineering Technician qualified to HNC and EngTech Level, with technician membership to the Institute of Civil Engineers (TMICE). I have 15 years’ experience working in a consultancy environment in the U.K and Australia. In my career I have gained a comprehensive knowledge of CAD and other software required for drafting and design such as Civil 3D, Revit and Vehicle Tracking. On most of the projects I have been designated to, I have worked in a team, small and large, as either a drafter in a supporting role to more senior drafters, to a lead drafter/designer acting as a tutor to junior members of staff and designating work and tasks from the planning phase right through to the as built drawings. I enjoy the responsibility of a more senior role and believe this brings the best out of me, but I am also happy working with more experienced members of staff. I have no problem in managing my workload to help other members of the team meet deadlines. From the start of my career, I have been encouraged to show excellent presentation on my drawings and attention to detail, also to go the extra mile to ensure my work is of a similar standard. In my career I have shown creative problem solving skills and an ability to interpret information clearly and accurately.
