Human Resources Management is my passion. Throughout my career I\'ve been fortunate to work with talented, exceptional people who have helped me to grow and develop as a person and business professional. The most important lessons I\'ve learned from colleagues and mentors? At the top of the list is applying Steven Covey\'s Habit #2-Begin with the End in Mind and apply the best practice solution that fits the business and is tailored to the particular challenge. The determining factor on any HR policy or program has to be: Will this actually help the manager/employee to be more successful? Too often, HR has been content to settle with an \"it\'s always been done this way\" or some sort of \"just because\" response.My mentors have shown me the value of decisive leadership and iterative process management. I endeavor to keep the big picture in focus without losing sight on things right in front of me. I love solving problems and creating solutions. To that end, I frequently challenge my team and myself with answering: Can we make easier for the business to do \"X\"(hire, pay, train, evaluate, etc)? Can we help the business do it more effectively? Can we increase ROI?I try to bring a high degree of enthusiasm and optimism to my work. I believe that a little intellectual humility goes a long way to sharpening performance and trust.
