ABOUT WILL BOWEN

I am a qualified and experienced Senior International Operations and Security Manager.I lead and develop teams, contracts and operations in the UK, as well as throughout Europe, the Middle East and Americas region, working frequently in complex, dynamic and high risk environments.As a competent project manager I have successfully led and completed many large scale projects. These include- Developing and managing Regional and Country risk management and business continuity plans- Local and International office moves- Creating Inter-company partnerships and shared services agreements that generate significant revenue streams and assist long term developmentI lead Business Continuity and Crisis Management teams at ActionAid, and have also worked in emergency planning with local government, environmental and blue light services. I deliver training and testing as well as supporting live local and international incidents.I have worked closely with external agencies including Police and Counter Terrorism units on major security programmes such as Project Argus and supported the 2012 Paralympic road cycling events. My work has been showcased in multiple national and international forums including BIFM, Global FM, IOSH and the Security Institute.I am a confident communicator, able to work with technical teams and influence and negotiate with those who have less technical knowledge. I speak fluent French.I volunteer with the British Institute of Facilities Management in the International SIG. In recognition of my leadership, commitment, and work with leading FM professionals, companies and FM associations around the World for World FM day 2016 and 2017, I was nominated for, and awarded the BIFM volunteer of the year 2017 award.I have built up my extensive knowledge base in the field of FM and security management through a mix of training and qualifications as well as practical field experience.
