As of August 2022, I have been a part of the NZ Army Reserves in the 3/6 Battalion. Key parts of my role, which I use in my life as a business consultant include- Strong problem-solving ability: I was trained to think critically and make quick decisions under pressure- Lead and motivate my team members to achieve their goals, often in high-stress situations - Communicating clearly and effectively as part of a team, to work collaboratively and achieve required goals. I was chosen as the Top Recruit of the 3/6 Battalion at my infantry core training in Jan 2023.

ABOUT WILLIAM BORRELL
I am currently employed as a Senior Strategy Analyst at the global consulting firm Accenture, with expertise in business management consulting, marketing transformation, and corporate strategy. Prior to being a consultant, I worked as a commercial solicitor. My passion lies in fostering connections and collaborating closely with clients to co-create transformative business solutions through the integration of people, technology, and innovation. In addition to my role at Accenture, I am also a proud member of the NZ Army Reserves, where I honed my fundamental skills of problem-solving and leadership. When not working, I can be found exploring the outdoors or climbing up a large mountain. I have found pushing myself mentally and physically has been a great way to develop my work ethic and has shaped my attitude towards all areas of my life. I have recently taken this passion and turned it into a (part-time) profession and joined the NZ Army Reserves in Nov 2022. Being a reservist and an infantry soldier has strengthened my resilience, leadership and ability to set clear objectives - skills I use every day in my work at Accenture. I have a Bachelor\'s degree in Business (Majors in Marketing and Management) and an LLB, both from the University of Auckland. In 2020, I completed my LLB and BCom and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in March 2021. However, after considering my career options, I realized that the legal profession wasn\'t the right fit for me at that time. I wanted to explore the business consulting industry, which led me to pursue a role in business and marketing strategy at Accenture. Since then, I have been continuously developing my skillset and collaborating with some exceptional professionals to learn/grow.
