About Wiley Post

I help build teams, grow journalists and foster a culture that can find room to be both competitive and compassionate. I model consensus building but I’m not afraid to make decisions and I love seeing others grow in confidence in their own abilities. Educated at Gonzaga University, I studied in the Broadcast & Electronic Media program where I graduated with honors. While enrolled, I interned in the news department at KHQ-TV and worked as a freelancer for a number of remote productions through West Coast Camera. Upon graduation I was hired at KHQ-TV full time and spent two years producing the morning newscast KHQ Local News Today. After leaving KHQ-TV I became the morning newscast producer at KGW-TV in Portland, Oregon. I was promoted to Executive Producer, Mornings in the early spring of 2012. In November 2014 I moved to take charge of KGW\'s Nightside (7, 10 & 11pm) newscasts. In 2017 I took on a new role within TEGNA when I moved to Houston to join KHOU-TV. I\'m currently the Assistant News Director/Executive Producer for Daytime News at KHOU 11 News. Prior to that I lead both the morning and late news teams.
