ABOUT BRETT WILEY

After two decades in the Midwest, I arrived in the Beltway and at The White House with hopes of passing national climate legislation. Instead, I responded to the largest oil spill in world history. Just as our communities need to adapt to climate change, I\'m able to adapt to changing circumstances and still deliver high-impact outcomes. My experiences and leadership reside in a varied body of work centered on the power of people coming together. I\'ve started a business, non-profits, and initiatives with an entrepreneurial, collaborative spirit. I\'ve taken a clean energy social enterprise from a city to a region as a result of mutually beneficial partnerships, mission focus, and lean development.I also don\'t need to lead. I\'ve followed the leadership of others in the grasstops of federal government and the grassroots of policy and Presidential campaigns. My life\'s work is building more resilient organizations and communities, whether that\'s through the mitigation & adaptation to climate change or expanding access to a more inclusive commons.
