Just 10 months ago, I finally paid off all my credit card and medical debts. But before that. I almost went homeless.Despite working full-time, my financial situation was desperate. My income was consumed by a relentless stream of bills, leaving me in a constant state of stress, especially whenever rent was due. I couldn’t recall the last time I could afford a vacation, and the concept of retirement seemed like an unattainable dream. My credit was in ruins, and the threat of homelessness was alarmingly close. I felt as though I could not breathe. This was a period of intense fear and brokenness. The turning point came with a 9-week financial literacy course I attended at my friend’s church. This course challenged everything I thought I knew about money, debt, credit, and wealth building. I applied the strategies I learned and I began to see changes in my financial life. I learned to budget with a purpose, built an emergency fund, and methodically eliminated my debts.As my financial situation stabilized, I realized my experience could inspire and assist others. I pursued and achieved certification as a financial coach. Now, I dedicate myself to helping others break free from the paycheck-to-paycheck cycle, using the same principles that transformed my life.I am living proof that a financial hot mess can be turned into financial success.
