ABOUT CATHRYN MASTERS

As a strategy-driven leader with a strong and consistent track record of success in helping companies achieve their goals, I understand the importance of results. I am an award-winning executive in Organizational Leadership, public service and US Army Veteran with deep experience planning, developing, implementing, and administering winning leadership development/training programs, as well as developing and maintaining relationships between organizations and their partners. I excel at project management, teaching, and training. I am adept at creating partnerships with internal and external stakeholders who support and reflect the organization’s values and mission. I revel in the challenge of accomplishing goals where leadership development and stakeholder relations challenges threaten to negatively impact the organization’s bottom line. I am also a passionate contributor with a laser-focus on exceeding organization and client expectations.During my career, I have successfully driven employee retention and longevity by hiring and onboarding employees based upon who is the best “fit” for the organization, and seizing on retention opportunities by growing the individuals, organizations and partners simultaneously. I have earned a reputation as an influential, results-oriented leader. A few of my recent successes include: I moved the Tempe Police Department to provide greater diversity and inclusive practices in their recruiting and hiring through partnerships with non-profits, educational institutions and programs. I achieved this through leveraging learning relationships and creating open dialogue with internal and external stakeholders. I graduated 500+ executive leaders and 2K+ supervisors from leadership programs at Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training. While there, I implemented a new field training officer program by creating an SME group. I also earned certifications in the FranklinCovey Curriculum, MBTI, and DiSC. I oversaw the 125-member Sheriff Auxiliary Volunteers. I aligned their $3M budget, advised the board on the administration of grants, and provided for the board on training and leadership development. I grew the Pima County Sheriff\'s Department from 85% staffing to 100% staffing during my tenure by creating a cohesive family feel with growth opportunities. I have managed 512 staff, more than 40 projects and programs, and a budget of more than $93m.
