About Wil Whitlark
I have been in IT management and systems engineering for over 18 years, and have been leading engineering teams for 13 of those 18 years. I am always focused on providing rapid, robust, repeatable solutions to facilitate the needs of my team. As a developer I had a penchant for automation and found great fulfillment in being able to provide automated solutions for a broad set of tools, developing a support structure that prevented many common problems from occurring. Now, as a leader of software engineers, I have found the same penchant in acting as “servant leader” to development teams, delivering vision and guidance, humility, empathy and personal responsibility. I’m a firm believer that when people can connect what they do to real, meaningful results, they will love what they do. And when people love what they do, there is no limit to what they can accomplish.I have worked in teams of every size, from freelance and one-person teams in small business environments to 200+ member ops teams and large corporations, and have always thrived in environments where I can share and accelerate knowledge, moving quickly to deliver powerful solutions. I am a dedicated problem-solver with a proven track record of self-motivation, flexibility and quick reactions to emerging situations. I love a challenge and I see every language or tool I\'m unfamiliar with as an opportunity to continue to grow, learn and conquer the unknown.
