I currently hold the position of Underwriting Technician at Sompo International in Toronto, where I play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of commercial property insurance underwriting processes. My responsibilities include collecting and organizing pertinent information for both new and renewal business, assisting underwriters in reviewing and analyzing insurance applications, and maintaining meticulous records in our database. Additionally, I collaborate closely with brokers, agents, and clients to address inquiries, prepare insurance policies, and provide necessary documentation throughout the underwriting process. I also contribute to the preparation of underwriting reports and analyses to facilitate informed decision-making. With a focus on compliance and integrity, I ensure all activities adhere to company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
