Mr. Wickwire focuses on solving complex environmentalproblems using risk assessment, casual analysis, vulnerabilityassessment and weight-of-evidence approaches. He has appliedhis expertise to evaluating spills, legacy contamination, claims ofloss or damage, environmental stressors and developing newmethods to advance the evaluations. Mr. Wickwire has preparednumerous aquatic and terrestrial ecological and human health riskassessments in New England and around the United States. Hehas managed the development of models that incorporate wildlifebehaviors and habitat suitability to increase the realism ofexposure modeling. Using multiple types of evidence, he appliesthe causal analysis framework to provide a transparent anddefensible path to identifying a probable cause and ultimatelymanaging it to reduce impact. Mr. Wickwire also uses relativerisk model approaches to understand the potential vulnerabilitiesof different alternative approaches to environmental management.These methods are applicable to diverse environmentalchallenges such as introduction of species or climate changevulnerabilities.
