Usama is an Architectural Designer experienced in Urban Transit, Transportation Infrastructure and Planning. He has extensive professional experience of 7+ years associating with top-ranked ENR organizations.He is currently re-associating with SYSTRA for the Nagpur and Thane Metro Rail Projects.He was recently associated with SMEC (Rail & Metro Division) providing Detailed Design Consultancy (DDC) services for Bangalore Metro Rail Project and Mumbai Metro Line 6. He is also providing assistance in design related services for the North South Railway Project, Saudi Arabia.He was also associated with SYSTRA providing General Consultancy (GC) services in a Joint Venture for Nagpur Metro Rail Project : Phase 2.He was lately associated with TCEL to provide Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for India\'s first High Speed Rail Project (NHSRCL - MAHSR).His career has majorly been in Transit and Oriented Development Projects like High Speed Railway Stations, Indian Railway Stations, Metro Stations and Rolling Stock Maintenance Depots. He was associated with the Nagpur and Pune Metro Rail projects along with the two related Maintenance Depots in Pune. He was also assigned for the station redevelopment projects of Nagpur and Asansol Railway stations in the state of Maharashtra and West Bengal respectively.He has extensively worked on conceptual designs, production of Schematic/GAD/GFC drawings, 3D visualizations, facade development and site coordination.He has also published a research document on \'Rethinking Urban Design\', an Urban Research Initiative Report on behalf of MMRCL for the Nagpur City Masterplan.His key interests include architectural criticism, heritage documentation and creative content writing. He has travelled to hundreds of cities across India to study and document how medieval architecture and related settlements are coping up to the modern world of continuous development.
