I am Lead of the Talent Sourcing Team at MISO (Midcontinent Independent System Operator), where I build and lead strategies to strengthen early-career pipelines and connect diverse talent to opportunities in the energy industry. Under my leadership, our team has expanded initiatives to include a new engineering-focused co-op program and deeper partnerships with universities, broadening the pathways for the next generation of energy professionals.My career journey began in an unexpected place—retail management. While earning dual Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Graphic Design and Art History from Indiana University Bloomington, I discovered a passion for leadership and talent development that shifted my career path. Over the next eight years, I advanced quickly, becoming a Store Manager by age 29 and overseeing operations generating $15 million annually. This experience gave me a strong foundation in people leadership, coaching, and business operations that I carry with me today.In 2021, I transitioned to the energy sector, joining MISO as Internship Program Coordinator. There, I combined my strengths in mentorship with my commitment to developing emerging professionals, guiding more than 30 interns each summer through their first career experiences. In September 2025, I was promoted to lead the Talent Sourcing Team, where I continue to grow sustainable, innovative pathways into an industry critical to powering our communities.I am especially passionate about authenticity in the workplace—encouraging students and early-career professionals to embrace their unique skills and perspectives, even when their résumés look “nontraditional.” Whether traveling to career fairs across the Midwest or mentoring the next generation of energy leaders, I am motivated by helping people discover the right place to contribute and thrive.
