ABOUT WHITNEY RIGODON
As a dedicated public health professional and researcher, I am committed to advancing community health through evidence-based interventions, policy research, and global health initiatives. Currently pursuing my Master of Public Health at NYU’s School of Global Public Health, I focus on community health science and practice, with a strong foundation in epidemiology, health policy, and public health leadership.My academic journey began at Bryn Mawr College, where I earned a B.A. in Anthropology with a minor in Biology. Through my senior thesis, The Mosaic of Urban Healthcare, I analyzed the impact and effectiveness of mobile clinics in North Philadelphia, solidifying my passion for equitable healthcare solutions.With extensive research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant and Associate at NYU GPH, I contribute to projects aimed at improving maternal health outcomes and addressing healthcare access gaps in underserved communities. My work extends beyond research, having served as a Teaching Assistant in both quantitative studies and biology, fostering student mentorship and engagement.Beyond academia, I have gained hands-on experience in global health, public policy, and DEI initiatives. From interning at biolution GmbH in Vienna, Austria, to engaging in pulmonary immunology research at Temple University’s School of Medicine, I have developed a multidisciplinary approach to solving public health challenges. Additionally, my leadership roles in student government, health advocacy groups, and community outreach programs reflect my dedication to fostering inclusive and impactful health initiatives.With skills in qualitative and quantitative research, project management, and community engagement, I am passionate about bridging gaps in healthcare access, particularly for marginalized populations. I am always eager to collaborate on initiatives that drive sustainable and systemic change in public health.
