ABOUT WHITNEY ENNIS

Whitney brings over 20 years of experience in independent school education as a proven innovator with a strong background in program and staff development and cross-departmental collaboration. She joined The Potomac School in the summer of 2021 as the Director of Summer Programs, overseeing all aspects of summer programming, including planning, staffing, budgeting, and execution.In addition to her work with summer programs, Whitney has extensive experience in facility rentals, global programming, early childhood education, and extended day programs. Throughout her career, she has worked diligently to streamline processes, fostering transparency and collaboration, which has resulted in increased buy-in from all stakeholders, higher enrollment, and more consistent staffing.As a leader, Whitney embodies kindness and respect while keeping the school\'s mission and programmatic goals at the forefront. She has had the privilege of sharing her expertise at conferences including SPARC, Summer Programs and Auxiliary Revenue Collaborative, NBOA, ACA Tri-State, Sidwell\'s Summer Summit and CampCon. Whitney earned her BFA in Dance from Shenandoah University in 2003 and is also a certified yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance (RYT-200)
