As Management Officer at U.S. Embassy Abuja, I lead a team of American, family-member, and nearly 700 locally employed staff in delivering the management services that keep U.S. diplomacy in Nigeria operating at its best. A $34 million dollar portfolio. With over 1,200 employees in a hardship location at the challenging edges of diplomacy, our mission depends on strong leadership, coordination, and resilience. Serving as Deputy Management Counselor, I guide the embassy’s daily operations, partner with Washington, and work closely with our Consulate General in Lagos to ensure seamless support for ten U.S. Government agencies. My role is about more than administration—it is about creating the conditions that make America stronger, safer, and more prosperous abroad. By fostering collaboration across agencies, stewarding resources in a complex environment, and advancing projects that improve housing, facilities, and overall quality of life, I help build the resilience and morale essential to our success. Through this work, our embassy remains a reliable platform for diplomacy, security, and economic engagement across West Africa.
