Provides overall leadership and directs the Ross companies’ technology efforts to ensure continuous development and execution of technical strategies that enables the department to provide its customers with world-class service. Provides vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives, as well as, supports these initiatives in a hands-on manner. Key Responsibilities Leads IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the companies. Develops and maintains an appropriate IT organizational structure that supports the needs of the companies. Monitors and implements security and disaster recovery planning. Establishes IT departmental goals, objectives and operating procedures consistent with the annual operating and strategic plans. Identities opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house software development. Develops, tracks, and controls information technology annual operating and capital budgets. Ensures continuous delivery of IT services through oversight and monitoring of IT systems performance. Keeps current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices. Advises, counsels, and educates Management Team on their competitive and financial impact. Supervises recruitment, development, retention and organization of all IT staff in accordance with personnel policies and budgetary objectives. Supervises software development, BA/PM, and IT Infrastructure associates, providing leadership and technical expertise. Continues to be involved in day to day technical work, including system design, project management, and technical implementations within the software dev and infrastructure areas.
