ABOUT WESSAM ELHAJJ
Responsible for leading the manufacturing facility with quality assurance and quality control. My role is to ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate, customers and 3rd party audit requirements, oversee the quality control laboratory and quality control technicians, implement and improve quality management programs and procedures and watch over the day-to-day facility operations to ensure adherence to all quality and regulatory standard. • Ensure that all products meet all quality specifications, develop and maintain documentation to comply with record keeping requirements.• Write and implement Standard Operating Procedures and testing or work instructions.• Comply with Health & Safety codes & procedures• Performs maintenance and calibration on all ADM laboratory equipment.• Excellent knowledge of QMS programs and involved in conducting Food Safety internal audits.• Responsible for implementing solutions to quality problems through inspection, CAPA investigations, and audits. • Act as a document reviewer and approver as required for a variety of documents including but not limited to food safety plan, SOP’s, policies, change controls, material’s risk assessment, approved suppliers, pest control, document control, product tractability, product recall and withdrawal, validation and verification and GMP/HACCP. My duties as an Environmental Specialist is to stay updated with local, provincial and federal environmental regulations as directed by the Environmental Corporate Team.• Developing and maintaining the Environmental Management System (EMS) and deliver training programs.• Working knowledge of hazardous materials including hazardous wastes, asbestos, and other hazardous pollutants.• Generate environmental reports as requested by regulatory agencies• Obtain, maintain, modify and renew environmental permits and licenses.• Investigate environmental accidents and propose corrective actions.• Oversee waste disposal and pollution control programs.
