ABOUT WESLEY RICHARDSON

2012 Graduate from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor\'s of Science degree in the field of Criminal Justice, with a minor in Chemistry. Awarded the 2011 Jim Kelly Leadership Award for my key role as an impactful leader, playing for the University of Cincinnati\'s Football Team. 2022 Graduate from Florida State University College of Law. Currently employed as a Summer Associate at Traub Lieberman Straus & Shrewsberry LLP, working in the practice area of Insurance Defense. From drafting pre-trial motions, to answering discovery requests, and attending live depositions/trials, my current position as a Summer Associate has afforded me the opportunity to gain practical experience in the practice of law. In addition to my legal experience thus far, I possess over eight (8) years of experience working as an Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/ Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/ Know-Your-Customer (KYC) Analyst, gaining a great understanding and knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and OFAC Regulations. I have become proficient in the utilization of many AML tools and case management systems. Through my experiences, I have built a strong foundation in BSA/AML investigations, performing transaction analysis and developing strong narrative writing skills (i.e, SAR writing). Additionally, I have gained an immense amount of experience conducting \"Know-Your-Customer\"(KYC)/Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews and remediations, utilizing various research tools such as: LexisNexis, World Check, Accurint, Westlaw, and Google. Through my quality experiences, I have become a professional AML Analyst who takes pride in high quality investigations and reviews.
